Louisa Harding Grace Hand-Dyed knitting yarn is the same beautifully soft blend of 50% Silk and 50% Wool as it's sister, Grace. This hand-dyed version has some of the most beautiful colour variations I've ever seen and each skein has colour combinations which match up with several of the colours in the 'solid' Grace, and the Grace Hand-Beaded thus allowing endless combinations!
It knits as a standard Dk with a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to a 4" (10cm) square. 100m (110yds) per 50g skein. Gentle hand wash only.
Delicate blends using natural fibres like silk are generally not recommended for every day wear as they may develop a halo or may pill. Pilling is generally much easier to remove from natural blends than from man-made blends though as the fibres do pull off easier. Garment shavers which are often available from hardware retailers can make a natural fibre garment look like new!
