Yorkshire Wolds Suffolk X with 50% alpaca is a fabulous blend using the fleece from the sheep at the original Little Houndales Farm and British alpaca. It is washed, carded, spun, & dyed.
The blending of the two fibres has given this yarn it's own special qualities; it is woolly as a pure wool should be yet the alpaca adds a dramatic softness with some of the longer hairs adding texture too.
There are two natural shades available, Natural Ivory and Natural Grey (the Natural Grey is blended with black alpaca). The two naturals have then been overdyed with a selection of pink, plum, purple and blue giving eight shades in all - not all are available
